An exciting opportunity to join one of the UKs leading concrete block manufacturers, established in the 1880s, it is a family run business, that began life quarrying limestone and basalt, before evolving over the years to now offer a diverse range of concrete block products that it distributes throughout the UK and Ireland. Colinwell is seeking a general operative to join its production team. The successful candidate will the production team and be responsible for the production, packing and loading of concrete masonry products, destined for production schemes throughout the UK and Ireland..

Responsibilities

• Utilising processing machinery in the yard.
• Processing product prior to dispatch.
• Loading and off-loading vehicles.
• Assisting with packing and processing customer orders.
• Keeping the yard tidy, organised, and maintained.
• Complying with all Health and Safety policies.
• Keeping the machines and work area clean and tidy during the shift.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisors/managers in keeping with the role.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and adapt and complete training where applicable.
• Excellent communication skills and work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

• Forklift licence.

Salary:

16/17yrs - £5.28 per hour

18/20yrs £7.49 per hour

21/22yrs £10.18 per hour

23/24yrs £10.42 per hour

Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position.
